HELP! All you techno smart blogdosts out there.... please help . I wrote my usual blog a few hours ago and thought i had successfully posted it. but apparently not!! it is out there somewhere. can it be retrieved?? if u find it, pl send it back to me. merci!! it is titled 'Life in a Metro.'

First of all, if you have written a post and think you have published it, but it doesn't appear on your blog, then it is not "out there somewhere" for others to retrieve it.
ReplyDeleteCheck "Edit Posts" since Blogger automatically saves the posts you write from time to time.
But in case you have posted by mail or mobile, I don't know.

Yeah, it should be in edit post, check for the date as well, it may be posted in older date!! It should be there.

I feel your pain, Madame. Don't you miss the old way of saving mind traces with a notebook and a pen?... The only problem with the ancient way is that we wouldn't be enjoying your log entries the same day... You got no choice though, but to write a new post... Hmm, actually, this incident of the lost post is also part of the travel plot.

LMFAO...Shobhaa Ji you are so embarrassing....You remind me of my mom...There is no way in hell that any of the above is possible.
Familiarize yourself with the interface of your blogging site (i.e the dashboard when you log in), you should find it there if it's not gone forever.
A tip is to not type directly into the blog - rather use word and then paste back...Ask one of your kids to show you how...Its simple.
get daily back-up of your data.....uno our load-shading problem?????????

ReplyDeleteBlogger or any blog site for that matter automatically saves a draft while you are writing the blog. If you lose internet connection for a little bit it might not save it. Some people type the blog on a word document and then copy-paste it. This way you have a copy in case the blog site is acting up.
