Hotel de Paris, Monaco

Blogdosts I am at a destination one can only dream about or watch in super glam Hollywood movies from another era.I. am astonished Bollywood has not discovered this locale so far. Or perhaps I should feel relieved. Imagine a full on Bollywood production taking over this tiny Principality and converting it into a garish nightmare. Though, IIAFA would be an excellent idea. And perhaps Monaco Tourism should pitch for the awards . Right now, the place is getting geared up for the Grand Prix, and am happy to report Force India and Vijay Mallya are both well established in this playground for billionaires. There is a Saudi Prince floating around on a yacht that is a mansion on the ink blue bay.As for the Opera House, I can only describe it as a jewel of such vivid brilliance and beauty, one almost forgets the world famous casino attached to it. Ah well.... I am sounding euphoric after ages.... And feeling it, too. Cannot be the Sancerre..... It has to be Monte Carlo.

Monte Carlo maybe to rich and chic for the Indian "dance around trees" routine!

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.

Just read in midday that some villagers near Mumbai get 3 litres of water pe rday inspite of living a few kilometres away from Vaitarini which supplies water to the city and the suburbs.

Yet our greedy builders go on building highrises indiscriminately and the population is increasing making natural resources scrace and costly.

We have swimming pools everywhere water is being wasted, misused. All this inspite of having heavy rainfalls during monsoon periods.

Saw a cute toddler's photo carrying a small vessel over the head trudging miles.

And we have worst roads and large numbers of luxury cars. We blame autos for occupying the roadspace because it should be reserved for cars only like in US and other advanced countries.

We make noises when models and stars die but lakhs die due to malnutrition, diseases, exploitation.

Our newspaper comment sections are full of filth spewing hatred, regionalism, communalism and sadism by the computer savvy readers who pounce upon like hungry tigers encouraged by the media houses in the name of freedom of expression.

Ms. De,

I highly urge you to visit the Institut Océanographique , Monaco's truly unique aquarium and Jardin Exotique de Monaco, the stunningly gorgeous botanical garden located high up on the hill. The view is magnificent. Nice is also 15 minutes away by train or better still if you have a car, drive down. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE MONACO!!!!
